God Of Mountains And Valleys

A recent family trip gave us time to relax but also allowed us time to pause and think of our Lord’s continued faithfulness. As we enjoyed the beautiful views of Lake George and its surrounding areas we reflected on the unparalleled handiwork of our heavenly father. The pristine waters of the lake and the lush greens around the Great Appalachian Valley served as a reminder of His majesty and the intricacies and complexities of His creation.

It also led me to think about the different references made about valleys in the word of God. In my search, I learned about the spiritual meaning associated with each of the valleys mentioned in the Bible. Some of them include the valley of sin, the valley of decision, the valley of suffering, the valley of battle, the valley of chastening and the valley of death.

Which one of these valleys are you in today? Are you in the valley of victory or are you in the valley of despair?

Regardless of where we are, our living God is beside us. As David said, "Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; for Thou art with me; Thy rod and Thy staff they comfort me." Psalm23:4

He is with us regardless of our present, our past and our future. This is our eternal hope and security!
