MORTAL KOMBAT
Like it or not, we are caught in the middle of a war – the war for our souls. Its a war in the heavenlies in collaboration with earth ! We are given no choice except to be cognizant of this state of affairs and fight!
The Word of God declares that our hostility is never against humans but spiritual foes of darkness. And this is not a quick battle, its desribed as a “wrestling” match, where the Victory is won when the Victor holds down the opponent with his hand to the Neck.
If this is so , it is crucial that we as Warriors , born again through the Blood of Jesus Christ be fully clothed with the Armor granted by God. This armor is not the armor of flesh or from physical sources however it is forged in the fires of Paradise.
The Devil heads the hierarchy of Evil which includes Archons/Principalities, Powers, Rulers of Darkness and spiritual Hosts of Wickedness in the Heavenlies. These are perverted anomalies of the original Holy Hosts of Heaven ,including the Seraphims, Cherubims, Thrones and Dominions ( which some have classified as 9 choirs)
These forces which have fallen from their First Estate have studied human nature for millenia and is well versed with Trickery for deceiving the ELECT !
In this mortal Kombat it is essential we follow the command from Paul :
2 Timothy 2 :3 You therefore must endure hardship as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. 4 No one engaged in warfare entangles himself with the affairs of this life, that he may please him who enlisted him as a soldier.
Jesus the Lord and King is our Sole& Soul Captain, the Commander in Chief of the Armies of Heaven ( YHWH Sabaoth) , His Might is our Power and Strength. We are shattered without His Provision & Presence. We have absolutely no life apart from Him. We live because He Lives.
Understanding the strategies of Combat includes our understanding of the Devil’s Cunning Deception/ trickery/craftiness or as the Bible says “DEVICES”
2 Corinthians 11 in order that Satan might not outwit us. For we are not unaware of his schemes.
2 Corinthians 11:3 But I am afraid that just as Eve was deceived by the serpent’s cunning,your minds may somehow be led astray from your sincere and pure devotion to Christ.
The Armor of God includes
INTEGRITY , our BREASTPLATE
TRUTH , our BELT
PEACE, our BOOT
FAITH /TRUST , our SHIELD
SALVATION, our HELMET
WORD , the SWORD of the SPIRIT
PRAYER, our JAVELIN
topped by our SINCERE LOVE OF JESUS CHRIST !
Let us therefore PUT ON this armor 24/7 lest we be found naked and vulnerable. Let us fix our spirits on Christ who promises a mighty infilling of His Holy Spirit in the hour of need inorder to resist the DEVIL and having done all , to STAND.
King Jesus will give increasing GRACE to His Warriors to stand in this evil generation !
