One can pray anywhere. The idea of prayer is communicating with God. This requires commitment and consistency. Worn out by the cares of this world, there is only one thing to do and that is prayer. The sad thing is many don’t resort to prayer but engage themselves in worldly things. Some resort to alcoholism and narcotics.
Our Lord Jesus Christ when He was on this earth withdrew Himself and went to a deserted place on the mountain top to pray. Mar 6:46 "And taking leave of them, He went away to the mountain to pray." This He did constantly to be in fellowship with His Father in heaven. He has set us an example to follow. We also must have constant fellowship with God via prayer. Jesus prepared himself spiritually for the upcoming day.
Separating oneself and being in prayer prepares them to face the toils, cares and spiritual challenges of the world. It is a good thing to start the day in prayer. This will gear one up to meet the challenges of life. We take it one day at a time. As prayer is done daily it adds up to a life time of prayer. It is in prayer one meets God at the mountain top. Very often the deep dark valley does not want us to pray. There is an effort required on the individual’s part to pray without ceasing. It is up to each one to lift themselves out from the wretched situation they are in. Let us be vigilant in prayer. Our God will let us have the mountain top experience every day. Let us strive to do it daily. The continued practice of praying can change a person. We have a God who hears and answers prayer. All glory to Him alone.
It is on the mountain top we can truly appreciate the beauty of the orchestration of God's plan in each individual life. When we reach up to Mount Golgotha we see the master plan of God unfolded for the redemption of mankind. When we put it all together worship becomes due to God. It is better to be on the mountain top to see the beauty and glory of God.
Praise God that He is always willing and available to listen to us.
