The Gift of gifts

The world celebrates Christmas. It is a time of celebration and gift giving for

millions around the world. There is so much time and effort and money spent. It is the

season that brings joy. There are many there are no gifts and joy. But there is one gift that God gave to everyone, His Son Jesus Christ. It is a Gift that is available to all, the rich, the poor and the unfortunate. When Jesus was born as a baby, God had sent his one and only Son, gift wrapped as a man. "For God so loved the world that He gave His only-begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life." Joh 3:16. He took on the form of a man for the only purpose of saving humanity from the judgment for sin. "for all have sinned and come short of the glory of God," Rom 3:23. "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." Rom 6:23. Jesus became a man to take the punishment for the sins of humanity and die on the cross. The only way to be saved form eternal punishment is to accept God's gift Jesus Christ by believing on His sacrificial death and resurrection for your sins. "Because if you confess the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved." Rom10:9. Thus you escape the judgment of God and receive freely eternal life and all blessings associate with it.

In the very near future Jesus will come as He promised to take all who believed on Him to heaven. There are many who dismiss this free gift. The Word of God also says, "how shall we escape if we neglect so great a salvation, which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed unto us by those who heard Him;" Heb 2:3 It will be prudent for humanity to accept this Gift of gifts from God. Amen
